OSS has experience in providing full-service Safety and Security Management Plans (SSMP).
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
In a consulting / supporting role provide systems safety oversight to ensure design, construction, installation and integrated testing of clients light rail system meets established criteria, consensus standards, and operational requirements.
EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, PC literate.
Knowledge of life safety, fire and building codes. Knowledge of nationally recognized standards (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA). Familiarity with hazard analysis based on MIL-STD 882 and NFPA 130 is desired.
Ideal candidate will possess a bachelor degree in safety, science or engineering along with 2-5 years of progressive systems safety or fire / life safety experience. Accredited safety certification (ASP, CSP, OHST, CHST) preferred. Public sector transportation experience helpful.
